Do you want to learn the basics of silversmithing so you can create jewelry at home? Then this 6-hour mini-course is perfect.

The course includes both practical and theoretical elements that will give you an understanding of silversmithing and enable you to start making jewelry yourself. You will learn, among other things:

• to saw
• solder in silver and brass with different solder types
• the processes for realizing a piece of jewelry
• how different tools and machines are used
• calculate wire and sheet metal
• make jewelry in both silver and brass

Materials and tool rental are included in the course, and you can expect to go home with about 5 rings of different thicknesses and a necklace pendant when the course is finished.

The course takes place at atelier Desirée at Svabesholms Kungsgård, and we will agree on a date and time together. You decide if you want to split your hours into 4 x 1.5 h or 2 x 3 h. Some do a full day with lunch and some breaks, others over a weekend, while some want to be able to practice at home between sessions and prefer 1 time/week for a month.

The course must be completed within 1 year from the date of purchase, after which the hours expire.
